Engineers & Scientists Acting Locally seeks to inspire, encourage, and empower people in STEM to be active civic participants. We are a dedicated group of volunteers working to help our fellow members of the STEM community more effectively engage with their local communities and governments. And we would be thrilled to have you join our ranks.
ESAL is looking for 1-2 volunteer development associates to support our Development Director and Executive Director. We are seeking volunteers who enjoy grant prospect research, grant writing, corporate sponsorship prospecting, individual giving campaigns, relationship management, and/or developing poignant communications about our mission.
As an ESAL Development Associate, you may:
- Develop and populate a prospect tracking system informed by our fundraising strategy
- Assist with tracking development trends and identifying relevant fundraising strategies
- Assist with grant writing and relationship building
- Contribute to grant reporting for existing grants
- Contribute to communications and marketing materials which support fundraising efforts
- Support prospecting for corporate sponsorship and major donors
- Develop engagement tactics for individual giving campaigns
- Work remotely under the guidance of the Development Director and Managing Director
- Contribute ~5-10 hr/month of your time to do the above
- Make at least a 6 month commitment to volunteering with ESAL
