Summer Learning Cohort for The Local Civic Engagement Toolkit

Earlier this year, ESAL launched our first ever on-demand course: The Local Civic Engagement Toolkit. Designed to help you become an active civic participant in your local community, the curriculum teaches you how to make space for civic engagement in your life, effectively engage with state and local governments, how to connect with community groups, and ways you can engage in STEM work with your community.

This July, we are offering a way for you to take your learning to the next level while connected with other civic-minded people in STEM. We will be running our first learning cohort for The Toolkit from July 6th to 31st, 2026. Participants in the cohort get access to the course materials week by week, and receive access to weekly discussion sessions to go deeper. There will be many opportunities to interact with other cohort members and the ESAL team to ask questions and form meaningful connections. Access the course and learning support for only $170.

Sign-ups are officially open! Tell us why the learning cohort interests you to receive a special discount.
