Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 3:30pm ET / 12:30pm PT

Event Description

Scientific research is facing federal funding cuts, job loss, and political pressures. These disruptions and the public’s reaction to them raise questions not only about the future of research as a profession, but also about who sets agendas and who benefits from scientific knowledge. This event will bring together perspectives on the history and politics of science, inclusive approaches to STEM education, and community-based engagement to imagine new models for scientific futures. Together, we will consider how communities can redefine their roles in science, shape research priorities, and reframe the relationship between science and society.
