SACNAS NDiSTEM 2026 Panel: New Strategies for a New Era of Science Advocacy

The goal of this session is to provide different perspectives on how scientists can remain engaged in policy advocacy, grounded in lessons learned from engaging the scientific community over the past several years, while also being forward looking.

As attacks on science have increased, scientists must adapt their approaches to building relationships with policy makers, the media, and the public to ensure that independent science and evidence are reaching people in ways that are accessible, usable, and useful. This session provides attendees with the tools to navigate the current political landscape.
