ESAL is seeking a Content Marketing Coordinator Volunteer to serve on our Communications & Marketing Team and help shape ESAL’s digital presence across social media, email newsletters, and the website. This role is central to helping us share stories, promote opportunities, and communicate ESAL’s mission in a clear, compelling, and consistent way.
What You’ll Do
As our Content Marketing Coordinator Volunteer, you will:
- Write, edit, and curate content for ESAL’s monthly email newsletter.
- Create, schedule, and promote content across social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Publish articles, interviews, and resources on the ESAL website using our content management system, WordPress.
- Collaborate with teams across ESAL, including programs, workshops, partnerships, and leadership, to gather updates, stories, and announcements.
- Adapt content for different channels while maintaining a consistent voice and message.
- Format content for readability, accessibility, and engagement.
- Apply basic web publishing best practices, including tagging, formatting, and SEO.
- Support performance tracking and help improve content reach and effectiveness over time.
Commitment
- Approximately 5–10 hours per month, depending on content needs.
- Fully remote.
- Six-month to one-year commitment preferred.
Experience & Skills
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong writing and editing skills.
- Is comfortable creating content for multiple digital channels.
- Has experience with Mailchimp, social media platforms, or website CMS tools preferred.
- Has attention to detail and an eye for clean, clear presentation.
- Understands or is interested in basic SEO, web analytics, or digital publishing.
- Can work independently while collaborating with a remote volunteer team.
- Enjoys synthesizing information from multiple sources and turning it into engaging content.
