Engineers & Scientists Acting Locally seeks to inspire, encourage, and empower people in STEM to be active civic participants. We are a dedicated group of volunteers working to help our fellow members of the STEM community more effectively engage with their local communities and governments. And we would be thrilled to have you join our ranks.
ESAL is looking for 1-2 volunteer development associates to support our Development Director to implement a fundraising strategy co-developed between ESAL and a consulting group. We are seeking volunteers who enjoy grant writing, grant management, individual giving campaign development, relationship management, and/or presenting about our mission.
As an ESAL Development Associate, you will:
- Develop and populate a prospect tracking system informed by our fundraising strategy
- Assist with tracking development trends and identifying relevant fundraising strategies
- Assist with grant writing and relationship building
- Contribute to grant reporting for existing grants
- Contribute to communications and marketing materials which support fundraising efforts
- Work remotely under the guidance of the Development Director and Managing Director
- Contribute ~5-10 hr/month of your time to do the above
- Make at least a 6 month commitment to volunteering with ESAL
