Vendor for Production of Video Module Course
October 2025
ESAL is looking for a vendor to execute a contract for videography, production, and video editing services to collaborate with our team on an asynchronous educational course on local civic engagement. This project is designed to inspire and equip people in STEM to participate more actively in their communities, local governments, and civic organizations. If you or your team are looking to collaborate with a small high-impact organization to produce educational content, this contract might be the right fit for you!
The video professional(s) will help bring to life nine short videos (10-12 minutes long) on civic engagement, featuring interviews, on-camera narration, and motion graphics. Collaboration with ESAL will include consultation during pre-production, production work, and post-production editing services.
The selected vendor will be contracted to complete the Scope of Work outlined here.
Responsibilities for the vendor will include:
- Review and provide feedback on scripts and storyboards for clarity and visual legibility.
- Consult on visual style, tone, and technical feasibility of production plans.
- Film narration segments in a rented studio space using own professional equipment, including camera(s), audio recorder(s), lighting, and teleprompter. Ensure high-quality sound and lighting.
- Advise on the technical quality of video conference recordings for interview segments.
- Edit and assemble final videos for all nine modules (10–12 minutes each) and one promotional video.
- Incorporate interview clips, narration, captions, background music, and simple motion graphics or infographics.
- Produce short social media clips for promotional use (as budget allows).
- Participate in regular check-ins with ESAL staff to provide updates, review drafts, and receive feedback.
- Manage file delivery, version control, and backup of project assets.
- Transfer all raw footage, edited files, and final deliverables to ESAL upon completion.
- Prior experience with non-profits and producing educational content preferred.
Timeline & Compensation
The length of the contract is anticipated to be no longer than 6 months. ESAL anticipates that filming will be completed by mid-November 2025, with all final videos produced by the first quarter of 2026.
Vendors are asked to propose their own pricing for their portion of the project. Refer to the Scope of Work document for line-items needed.
